In honor of International Women’s Day, we wanted to highlight some of the women that inspire us everyday, here in our hometown of Jaffa, Tel Aviv.

It’s pretty old news that the plight of the modern woman is the expectation to do it all. Mother and work, work and mother - all at the same time, without any compromises.

We all know that’s impossible, but we wanted to highlight some women that get pretty damn close.

Introducing 5 incredible women - business owners, creators, and most importantly passionate and loving mothers.

Neta Tesler

Who are you?:
Neta Tesler, 35, mother of 3.5-year-old Ella and 5-month-old Geffen and the owner and chief designer of Knots Studio - an international studio for designing home products.

How did you land on your career?:

I graduated from the Department of Textile Design in 2013 and in my final project, I developed a furniture collection inspired by the world of the sea. The collection was a great success so I decided to open a home product design studio.

Tips for balancing work and motherhood:
Over the years I've realized that the secret is in balance. When things are intense in the studio, I stay a few more hours to work and take care of urgent matters. When things are more relaxed, I take time off in the middle of the week and have fun with the kids. I really love what I do, and I think the kids seeing their mother enjoying and being fulfilled by her work is the example I want to set so they too will grow up to do what they love.

Arielle Tayar. 32 years old. Mom to Izzy (3) and Sunny (1.5) and the founder and creative director of Whip Creative Studio - A 360 creative agency working with clients around the world.

Kind of by chance. I studied film and theater in my undergrad and grad with a passion for storytelling, a love of smart visuals and a knack for business strategy, all the pieces came together to become Whip.

Tips for balancing work and motherhood:
Being fully present. 2 hours of quality family time with my phone on mute are worth more than 7 hours of trying to both work and mother at the same time. Committing to be 100% wherever I presently am (or at least trying).

Dikla Einat

Who are you?
Dikla Einat, 36, mother of Nuri, a fashion designer who owns KAV studio.

How did you land on your career?:
As a child I remember that I was always busy with design.Every week, I transformed and redesigned my room.Immediately after the army, I studied at the Bezalel Department of Jewelry and Fashion. When I finished my
degree and jumped into the water, I started working on my first collection - not knowing where this would lead. 8 years later I'm still here.

Tips for balancing work and motherhood:
Bring your kid to your business the day he or shà is born. Nuri is part of the team. Motherhood has made me much more practical. Working under time pressure has proved itself. At 4pm I run to daycare because I have no other choice. It requires you to be much more efficient.
