The Biggest Risk I Ever Took-From a studio in Jaffa to a warehouse in Texas — and everything in between.

After 12 years of running Knots Studio in Israel, I made a decision that terrified me: to move my entire operation to the United States and start over.

Over the years, our American business kept growing — stores, interior designers, large projects. But holding on to a factory in Israel was becoming impossible. Wars, Covid, rising costs, suppliers shutting down. I started to feel that if I didn't make a significant move, I'd be forced to close altogether.

So I jumped.

I started looking for manufacturers in Asia who could produce my pieces, and a warehouse in the US I could trust. Can you imagine how hard it is to hand over your product — something you've made with your own hands for over a decade — to someone you've never met, in a factory you can't visit every day? It's terrifying. But it's also the only way to truly grow.

It was a two-year process. Factory visits, negotiations, cold feet every single day. How many times did I almost give up? More than I can count. But I didn't. Step by step, I found every craftsman, every supplier, every freight manager I needed.

Today I still live in Jaffa with my partner and our two daughters — designing from here, shipping from Texas. And the dream is still very much alive.

Next: the moment the first container arrived in Texas. Spoiler — I cried.
